Contrast House is featured in Canadian Interiors’ Best of Canada Awards issue for its win in the residential category. The jurors noted how every aspect of the design was geared towards opening up space and inviting in more natural light: “Physically, the long, narrow house was opened up on all levels and given expanded openings on the south facade to trap the daylight. Perceptually, the design placed elements near each other, which made the spaces seem brighter.”
