Sorbara Sales Centre

The Sorbara Sales Centre stands as a striking and eye-catching design on a major city street, inviting potential buyers to view presentation materials in an expansive space awash in natural light.

An expansive lot fronting Yonge Street features the design for the Sorbara Group temporary condominium presentation centre. The client brief called for a bold design with attention-grabbing signage that would stand out and draw attention. Situated at the corner of Yonge Street, the sales centre is easily accessible and attractive to passersby with a clearly-defined entrance, while maximizing its presence along a busy city corridor with eye-catching signage.

A striking statement piece, the building’s soaring angular planes reach towards the sidewalk, inviting passersby to take a look inside. The dark metal cladding stands in contrast to the surrounding concrete and stucco-clad neighbouring structures, creating a feeling of futurism and luxury. A glass corner on the site’s edge establishes a bright and airy interior that draws in natural light, and reveals a classic and timeless design that emphasizes the material within, allowing the future building to take centre stage.

With sustainability in mind, the building was designed with the intent of having the ability to be disassembled and reassembled later at another site. As the presentation centre is only intended to be in place for 2-3 years, this modular approach gives the building multiple lives, maintains brand consistency, and diverts waste to reduce carbon emissions.
