Krystal is Dubbeldam’s first Europe-based team member and a licensed architect in the Netherlands. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Toronto’s John H. She also earned combined Bachelor of Arts, Honors degrees in Visual Arts and Business Administration from Western University and the Ivey Business School.
A LEED Green Associate, Krystal has experience in timber design and sustainable construction through work on projects in Canada and abroad. Her Master’s research investigated how mass timber systems can integrate structural, acoustic, and aesthetic performance through advanced milling and 3D fabrication techniques, informing her ongoing interest in timber innovation.
Before relocating to Europe, Krystal worked at Dubbeldam on a range of projects, including award-winning cottage designs, a mass timber golf clubhouse addition, and a midway pavilion. During her time in the Netherlands, she completed her MBA and worked with several award-winning Dutch practices. Now part of our team in Europe, she contributes international expertise and supports our studio’s growing presence abroad while working on projects in both Canada and the Netherlands.
