Skygarden House is featured in Toronto Life Magazine Eco-Living issue
Toronto Life recently featured Skygarden House, showcasing the renovation of a midtown Toronto home from the top down, transforming a 1920s detached house into an eco-friendly residence. Principal Heather Dubbeldam led the rebuild, prioritizing sustainability by retaining two original side walls and incorporating a central staircase that doubles as a ventilation shaft from basement to third floor. Natural light floods the interior through an open stair design and transparent guards, complemented by materials such as white oak floors and thermally treated ash for decks and porches.
Skygarden House exemplifies our design ethos of merging modern aesthetics with environmentally responsible practices, offering a contemporary urban living space with a minimal environmental footprint.
