Long Lake Cottage featured in The New York Times

We’re thrilled that our Long Lake Cottage project has been featured in The New York Times, in a piece by writer Tim McKeough. The article highlights the project’s considered response to its site – a remote peninsula in the Muskoka landscape – and its commitment to preserving the land’s raw beauty through the creation of an off-grid retreat that feels embedded rather than imposed.

Designed for minimal impact, the cottage nestles among the trees with a low-slung form and natural material palette that allow it to recede into its surroundings. Interior spaces are organized to frame views and support an immersive, year-round connection to the surrounding landscape.

We are grateful to Tim McKeough for the insightful feature, and to our clients for their trust and ongoing collaboration throughout this meaningful project.
