Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto renovation and addition moves forward to the next stage of the project
After an extensive feasibility study for the renovation of a historical golf clubhouse, we’re excited to be moving forward to the next stages of design with the Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto. The only female golf club in North America, the club was founded and opened by Ada McKenzie in 1924.
The project involves a restoration of the original clubhouse building, preserving its historical charm while modernizing its facilities. This includes an expansion of the kitchen and service space to enhance operational efficiency and accommodate larger events. Additionally, we are designing a new dining room addition, which will provide a versatile space for hosting tournaments, club events, and other social gatherings.
Our design approach emphasizes maintaining the club’s unique heritage while incorporating sustainable design and modern amenities to ensure its relevance for future generations. We look forward to collaborating closely with the club’s Building Committee and other stakeholders to create a space that honors the legacy of Ada McKenzie and continues to serve the vibrant community of women golfers.
