Architecture Studio Tours as part of Doors Open 2022
We were pleased to participate in Toronto’s Doors Open event this year by opening our studio doors to the public on May 28th. Over two hundred visitors joined us to explore our studio, discover our projects, and learn about our design process. Located in a vibrant neighborhood, our studio serves as a community hub, and visitors had the opportunity to engage directly with our team and understand the transformation of our space.
Principal Heather Dubbeldam led two standing-room-only talks focused on sustainable design in our projects, fostering lively discussions and answering questions from the audience. In addition to studio tours, we enhanced the streetscape by transforming four boulevard parking spaces adjacent to our building into temporary green spaces — a pop-up pocket park installation for the day. We are grateful to our sponsors Oriole Landscaping for providing plants and shrubs, Urban Mode for outdoor furniture, and Lazy Lawn for astroturf, which contributed to creating a welcoming outdoor environment for visitors.
Participating in Doors Open 2022 was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and showcase social impact through green spaces. We look forward to continuing to engage with our neighbors and fellow design enthusiasts in future events.
