The Role
We are seeking an Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in workplace, residential, or hospitality projects. This full-time, in-person role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects from concept through construction, collaborating closely with our team, clients, and consultants. The ideal candidate combines design creativity with technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while contributing to the culture and growth of our studio.
What You’ll Do
· Collaborate with the architectural team to develop project narratives and design direction
· Lead the production of interior design drawings and deliverables through all project phases (SD, DD, CD, CA)
· Provide technical expertise in interiors, including building systems and detailing
· Supervise, direct, and mentor junior staff
· Review drawings, details, and deliverables for accuracy and quality
· Develop sketches, mood boards, and presentation materials that communicate design intent
· Research, select, and coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures
· Manage workflow to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
· Engage with clients and consultants, presenting ideas with clarity and confidence
What You’ll Bring
· Degree in Interior Design
· Minimum 5 years of professional interior design experience, ideally with experience in multi-unit residential, workspace, and hospitality projects (experience in other building types is an asset)
· Sustainability focus in interiors (experience with WELL, LEED, or sustainable materials selection)
· Experience coordinating with consultants and vendors across all project phases
· Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and interiors detailing
· Knowledge of OBC and accessibility standards as they relate to interiors
· Familiarity with current products, and resources
· Procurement and FF&E coordination
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; Revit experience an asset
· Experience producing high-quality renderings and presentation materials
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
· Collaborative, adaptable, and enthusiastic about contributing to our studio culture
